About the Osterley Park web site
This web site is all about Osterley Park and its House. It has been created to give more information than the official web site can go into.
The web site is maintained by a serving volunteer, Clive Robertson. I take full responsibility for the site - in other words, please don't go blaming the National Trust for something I've said or done.
Although I'm a volunteer, nothing I present on the web site or in the Events newsletter is privileged information. It may be something you don't know yet, but it will shortly be generally known from other sources - the Information Point at Osterley Park, for example.
Accessibility
I have attempted to make sure that the site is fully accessible, by using a minimum of graphics and tables, and by avoiding fixed font sizes. If you have any problems, let me know.
Technical notes
This site is created in Notepad and tested in Firefox (see left). Since all pages are tested to be XHTML compliant, the code is to W3C standard, so I haven't tested them in any other browsers. I would be interested to hear of any problems. I have Opera and IE available for testing.
This year, I have re-coded the site using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to help make the pages uniform. The style sheet has itself been tested for standards compliance.
Searching the site
You can find your way around the site in four ways:
- the list of links to the left;
- the site map;
- the index page; and
- the search facility on the Home page.
If you can't find what you are looking for, please let me know at the webmaster address on the Contacts page.
