The best way to visit Osterley Park by public transport is by underground. Alight at Osterley station and turn left outside. Turn left into Thornbury Road, and the entrance to the park is straight ahead. The distance to the park is about half a mile, and the walk to the House takes about twenty-five minutes from the station.
TfL's Journey planner is here. Osterley station is on the Piccadilly Line (Heathrow branch) and is in Zone 4.
By rail, alight at Isleworth. From the North side of the station, go West along London Road (A315) to a road junction adjacent to a fire station. Bear right along Spring Grove Road, then take the second right into Thornbury Road. Continue across the A4, and Osterley Park is directly ahead. The distance from this station is about 1.5 miles.
Isleworth is on the "Hounslow Loop" line from Waterloo, via Clapham Junction, Barnes and Kew Bridge. The train then continues to Hounslow, Twickenham and Richmond, and returns to Barnes, Clapham Junction and Waterloo. Similar trains run the other way around the loop.
By bus, use the H28 Bulls Bridge-Osterley or H91 Hounslow-Hammersmith services (LT 020 7222 1234).
A timetable for the H28 is available here, and one for the H91 is here.
By car from the West, turn left from the A4 into Thornbury Road shortly after Osterley underground station (where the A4 narrows to two lanes for a short distance).
From the M4, leave at junction 3, then follow the signs for the A4. Turn left and follow the signs for Central London, then as above.
By car from the East, turn right from the A4 at Gillette Corner (note the skeletal Homebase tower) and follow Syon Lane. At the Wyke Green mini-roundabout, turn left into Jersey Road for Osterley Park.
