Facilities at Osterley Park

At Osterley, we have car and coach parks, an Information Point, toilets, a tea room and a shop. Facilities for the disabled or mobility-impaired are listed here.

We have facilities for educational visits, including a study base for groups of up to 60. Please contact the Education Coordinator (telephone 020 8568 4178 or fax 020 8568 7714).

Toilets include one for less able visitors, and baby-changing facilities are provided in both the mens' and womens' toilets). They are located behind the shop.

In addition to the guide book and short guide, House guides are also available in Braille and some foreign languages, and there is a free quiz sheet for children.

The tea room has highchairs and free children's colouring sheets and pens, and can warm babies' bottles.

Osterley operates the Sympathetic Hearing Scheme. For visitors with vision difficulties, staff and room stewards will describe the contents and indicate items which may be touched. Please speak to the staff on the Front Desk.

Dogs (with the exception of guide dogs and hearing dogs) are allowed in the park only. They may be let off the lead in the north-east meadow (to the right (East) of the Front Lawn). A map showing this area is placed at the junction between the main drive and the footpath from the car park (near the blue kiosk). Please keep them on leads elsewhere. Water is available from the tea room, where outdoor tables are available.

Cyclists may cycle (carefully and courteously, please!) on most paths in the park, with the exception of the Pleasure Grounds and Gardens. Bike stands are situated between the house and the tea room.

The park is connected to the London Cycle Network. Follow this link for Sustran's map page.

Fishing permits are available in limited numbers from May for fishing in the Middle Lake -- the season is from June to March. You will need two passport-size photographs, and the fee is £35 (in 2008). For further information, please contact the Head Gardener at the Estate Office on 020 8232 5064.
